Academic Development Services offers a full range of educational services.  Many of our students are academically gifted, some have learning differences or attention disorders, and some fit into both categories.  Other students are working to improve specific areas of their performance for a variety of reasons.  We have full-time and part-time tutors and consultants chosen for their expertise in their particular fields.

Mary Lou Nance, president of Academic Development Services, has been tutoring in Greensboro for over 20 years.  A graduate of Duke University, Mary Lou has helped thousands of students succeed in a wide range of subjects and at all levels from most of Guilford County’s public and private schools.

Our staff includes tutors with training and expertise in many areas.  Several have special strengths and years of experience teaching remedial and coping skills to students with special needs.  Many have done graduate study in their special academic areas.  All are committed to providing the best possible experience for our students.
